Held

Held is a work in progress.

I produced components for this work with help from an amazing team at Corning Museum of Glass There are about 45 blown glass vessels with a small excerpt shown here. Since I cannot hold the glass directly I produced plaster castings from my body to compress and hold the glass vessels. Leaving the imprint of the body on the glass, and the glass in turn become the negative space of the embrace.
